HIS BACKGROUND
From sport and tourism
to the trails of the Black Forest.
Nature, culture and outdoor activities have always played an important part in Daniel’s life. He describes spending some of his free time exploring trails and discovering new places in the Black Forest.
In 2024, he decided to turn this interest into a professional activity, undertaking the formalities and training needed to become a driver-guide. Abnoba Tours grew from his wish to share the region through day trips from Strasbourg.

Triberg, Titisee and Freiburg are the three stops Daniel visits regularly with his travellers. His experience of the region also extends to Hornisgrinde, Baden-Baden and Oberkirch.

Daniel also explores the landscapes of Hornisgrinde and the town of Baden-Baden. These places broaden his knowledge of the Black Forest beyond the main day trip.

Oberkirch is another destination Daniel visits regularly, alongside Triberg, Titisee and Freiburg.

ADAPTING TO THE GROUP
In Freiburg, Daniel explains that he adapts the visit when some travellers walk more slowly, including by arranging two groups. This attention to the group’s pace does not remove the requirement to be able to walk independently throughout the day.

The main excursion welcomes 2 to 8 participants. Daniel personally runs every minibus departure.
Four languages available
French, English, Spanish and German: Daniel adapts his commentary to the languages spoken by the travellers in the group.
Discuss your needs before booking
Tell Daniel about your needs before booking. Children aged 6 and over can join the excursion, which requires independent walking. It is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Travel between the stops in a comfortable minibus for up to 8 passengers, with departure and return in Strasbourg.
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
Why “Abnoba”?
The name Abnoba refers to the Black Forest and a nature deity associated with these mountains. Daniel chose it to connect his project with the region’s identity.
His aim is to introduce travellers to landscapes and heritage within reach of Strasbourg, making room for local stories and traditions.
